liadnanJust ran over to the library to pick up a copy of that fascinating work Byles on the Law of Bills of Exchange and Cheques for weekend light reading. On my way out, a large group of people were queuing up in the adjoining passage to enter the hall for, evidently, a black tie dinner (I know not who they were, the hall is available for hire to all sorts of groups).
The combined perfume of a couple of hundred women in evening wear, in a fairly small space, is something quite incredible to... besmell (?)
