I'm in a weirdly empty mood at present, and have decided not to post inane gibberings unless I can discern in them some vague smidgen of a point. I did start to compose a list of things that make me cross, which included: all political parties currently active in this country; the Northern Line; conspiracy theories about the death of Princess Diana; people who care about same; the daft idea that we need to lie to ourselves for six months of the year about what time of day it is; forgetting that we've just stopped lying to ourselves about same; badly drafted legislation; the Office for National Statistics; and Bad Coffee but I decided against continuing before I became just too depressed for words.

In other news, I decided to mend a friendship that got broken some months ago, just in time. That should please some of you.

Which bit of the Office for National Statistics do you have umbridge with? If it's the bit here in Newport I can pop nextdoor and scuff their floor or kick a door for you if you want.

Mainly their website actually, and the difficulty in finding what I want.
Do I want to be responsible for war breaking out between government departments? The streets of Cardiff running red with blood...

Oh I don't know where their IT department is, in fact I don't know what the bit here does. Oh well.

I like the idea of civil war breaking out in the civil service. We could easily take the DVLA I think.

Yeah, but in the end you'd all find yourselves so much cannon fodder for the superpowers of the Inland Revenue and HMCE.

We could form uneasy alliances to team up against the IR. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few and all that.

And currently I have just one item on my list of hated things: people who don't have the courtesy to inform you when they are unable to keep an appointment. Bah!
