Off to Liverpool fairly soon, so I shan't be on email or here until Friday. Could be an interesting couple of days: I'm considering a vaguely risky strategy...

When I return I shall make an effort to write some posts about substantive Stuff. Whatever that means.

I suppose "quintessentially immeritorious" and "inequitable" are powerful mantras and I shall try and get them in at some point. Otherwise I shal rely on my little brass owl (small image of Athene's owl picked up when I was in Athens more than 20 years ago and always carried, remarkably therapeutic).
