So, off I toddle to Liverpool for a proper, multi-track, full trial.

Listing office screwed up, we discovered on Friday morning. Contrary to what we had been told, we were down before a DJ, without consent and therefore well out of their jurisdiction, and by the time we found a Proper Judge it was too late to start a full trial which already had (through an earlier cockup by the listing office) been pretty optimistically listed for only one day.

By that time, of course, both my opposite number and I had incurred hotel and train bills (not to mention spending a couple of days preparing), for which someone is going to have to pay, and five witnesses had taken time off work. Pure genius.
