The First Stinking Cold of the Season is looming ominously, shadowy yet undeniably, inevitably, on its way. I can feel it tingling in the back of my nose and throat, in the way my eyes aren't quite focusing, in the slight ache in my muscles. I would add the general feeling of lethargy and unenthusiasm, but that may just be normality asserting itself.

Fortunately, my hearing for this afternoon went away, and is being dealt with by consent instead. Which is undeniably a Good Thing and in accordance with my very strong advice anyway.

Dinner in a Greek restaurant (inevitably) with a few friends (a very few actually, but that was by design, for the most part) last night. 'Twas good.

...struck yesterday for me. Couldn't sleep the entire night [Koko is ill too] and have been so busy since the morning that I haven't had a bite to eat today....
Bah!

Why is it that birthdays inevitably bring colds on?

Or so they do for me ...

You as well? I've been feeling like shite since the weekend. That said my burning the candle at both ends may have had something to do with it.
