Ho hum. Sitting in an internet cafe in Athens. Got an overnight bus up from Monemvasia, which by the aid of serendipity and a kind driver dropped me in the centre near the youth hostel and its free left luggage, rather than at the horrible bus station.
Why exactly I'm wasting time checking my email again I am not entirely sure, particularly given I am a man on a mission from God to buy a vast amount of cigarettes. And Metaxa. And other stuff.
I am so going to have to pay excess on my baggage this time.
Liking Athens rather more than usual, possibly because it's nowhere near as full.
Ho hum. I think I shall go and enjoy it.

I hope you're having a lovely time. I've given up smoking, but as a matter of principle travel on trains which still allow smoking rather than ones that don't. So bring back as many cigs as you can carry, and skads of lovely brandy. If you like brandy, that is.
