liadnanThings wot I have achieved today:
(1) Desultorily played 33 consecutive games of FreeCell, with complete success.
(2) Phoned my mother to ask how my father's cataract operation went and discovered it hasn't happened yet.
(3) Visited the bank to check something has gone through (it hasn't, yet).
(4) Wondered whether I am suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning as I seem to have a perpetual mild hangover and haven't been drinking much.
(5) There is no thing number five. I call that a result.
Ho hum, heigh ho, whatever, nevermind....
Proms again tonight, Brahms, Beethoven and something else, possibly followed by a late night prom but I haven't decided, or, indeed, checked to see what it is yet. Tomorrow I'm increasingly thinking I want to be somewhere other than London: Oxfordshire and Hampshire both seem like a very good idea. What I really need is a friend with a boat...

3. i own two boats, but they are only little sunfish...but they can fit three big people if you really stretch it
