Um. It's a long time since I've read it: does A Body in the Library actually have a lesbian relationship at the heart of the plot?

And Jamie Theakston?

Never mind. Highly entertaining, the cast otherwise dripping with serious talent, from Simon Callow and Jack Davenport as the Chief Constable and his sardonic sidekick on down, and I rather like McEwan's version of Miss Marple.

I was wondering whether my family have a weird thing with the Miss Marple's - like folks favourite Bond being the one you grew up with. The older ones in the tribe seem to prefer Margaret Rutherfords jolly hockey sticks style. Joan is the first one I saw.

Difficult to say because I don't really know how the characters in the book match those in the TV film, and also there's a spoiler risk.
