Do we think Mr Fitzpatrick is perhaps becoming a mite pissed off with the people who bought his baby?

Not that I particularly give a toss about ads, or any of these kerfuffles myself, though I am mildly interested in this idea.

Totally unconnected, but a snippet from some "100 Best" thing on while I typed the above: "Chris de Burgh's Lady in Red is one of the few things I can think of that has no redeeming features whatsoever."

I'm heading a long way into the direction of transferring my LJ to a wordpress site, password protect the 'friends only' posts and simply use LJ for viewing/links to the new place.

Partially because they keep messing up, partially because it's safer long term and partially because I'm really enjoying writing on so many different topics and if you're doing that a wider audience can be fun. Lots of stuff needed first though. Brad definately not a happy bunny though.

They should hire me for their marketing, the people currently doing it are obviously too crap to get it right.

I'd be very curious to see what the revenue streams look like. Because at the moment it seems to me they are pissing off their one really secure source of income through stupidity.

I don't particularly give a toss either, but then I also don't consider what I write here as "blogging" so there would be little point personally in using something like Wordpress instead.

Any actual blogging I may do is already somewhere else.

I just wish that word hadn't taken off. And I've now seen "web blogging" on the BBC which made me want to poke someone's eyes out.

I occasionally think of separating out the "point at pink fluffy clouds" posts, and the "I hate my life" posts into one place, and the stuff about books, and the ranting about politics, law etc into another, or others. But I came to the conclusion that (a) I'm happier writing about whatever I damn well please when I feel like it and be done with it and, more importantly, (b) I can't be arsed. If I did move (which I'd only do if I could take various bits of funcionality with me) it would purely be about having more control over things.

I guess other people must do as well, as it's made Mr de Burgh a lot of money. Still, would be a funny world if we all liked the same things.
