Reminds me of Billy Wilder and I.A.L. Diamond's sparkling dialogue in One, Two, Three (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0055256/):

C.R. MacNamara[the James Cagney character, who's the president of Coca Cola West Berlin in 1961]: Just between us, Schlemmer, what did you do during the war?
Schlemmer [his German deputy]: I was in der Untergrund. The underground.
