I have no inclination to write anything at all while the weather is like this. Gorgeous. Yes, I know many don't like it, and I'm sorry. But I'm just revelling in it.. And the Glyndebourne Cosí fan tutte semi-staged at the Proms tonight...

In short, later. I have gin, also tonic and ice.

Cf the fabulous summer of 1914? Maybe, but I have nothing productive or interesting to say about Lebanon (save to hope that ItinerantSphinx and everyone else there stays in one piece), or indeed anything else, so I'm going to refrain from saying it.

I wouldn't mind the heat so much if I could swim in a river or lake (or the sea, possibly). And having to work in this weather is just cruel.

Wish I could see Così fan tutte, but foolishly decided to come back to Scotland..

Meh. Goldfish bowl office, no ventilation, and a sunlight allergy (mild, but annoying).

I have an office based tourism job for a reason, I can enjoy the winters, but this is excessive.

Very refreshing to see *someone* around here enjoying the weather...

the world really is going to hell in a handbasket isn't? It just gets more and more ominous and the nutjobs in charge seem quite happy to go along. Gulp.

I would be happy in this weather if I could stay at home. Or just not work in a building which is always cold in the winter and hot in the summer.

When I bought a paper this morning, the guy in the shop asked what I thought about the war. I had no articulate response except I'm praying it all stops soon but don't believe it will.
