Finally managed to deal with signing myself up for Glastonbury last night. Spent ridiculous amounts of time photographing myself with outstretched arm and dismissing the results, on the usual basis of doing things the lazy and rather rubbish way. God knows where the money is going to come from, but there's more than a month to worry about that.

I actually think this is a rather good idea, although probably not sufficient to deal with overdemand.

I agree. Is the next stage going to be a complete lottery, do we know, or is it going to be an evening of redialling to actually secure the tickets?

I'm hoping that the time delay between registering and buying will thin out the numbers a bit - people may not bother registering anticipating they won't have the cash later, and others who have registered may find they don't have the cash. Capacity is up another 20k or so this year as well IIRC.

If all else fails, my mate is running a cafe* this year and is looking for workers, so we/you could probably get in that way.

* selling toast, so no huge culinary skills required.

As before, I think: 9AM on 1st April (a Sunday). But I do think this is, rather perversely, going to thin down numbers a bit: not only the Ebayers but also those who never got around to registering because they had a month.
