Linda Smith, comedian and Radio 4 (and BBC2) regular has died of ovarian cancer. She was only 48.

I remember having an argument with her about opera.

That's very sad. When I worked in London I saw a 25 year old girl die of ovarian cancer, and a 25 year old boy with lung cancer.
