Faffing around at home and the doorbell rings. A courier. "Eh," think I.

I hold in my hand one ticket to the 2005 Glastonbury Festival of Performing Arts.

Detailed lineup also now out. I am intrigued by the large hole in the headline slot on the Pyramid on Sunday. Since Kylie's replacements are already on that list (The Killers, on Friday) my wild suspicions about mystery special headliners may yet come to be proved correct.

Hmmm. Curiouser and Curiouser. Can't be Oasis, since they shot their mouths off about never playing another Glastonbury, perhaps in a fit of pique for not being asked to play this one?

There's U2, as previously discussed.

The Foos have a busy schedule with Reading etc already.

Wracked with jealousy :-(

Interesting about that slot though. Is Kylie definitely going to be out of action for it? I thought the op had been a success, and she'd pretty much been given the all clear.

I'd be astonished if she didn't have at least a precautionary course of radiotherapy. That cannot start usually until a couple of weeks or so after the op because the tissue has to be completely healed and even 'just' radiotherapy can be physically exhausting quite aside from any emotional reaction. I'd guess she is under strict orders to take it easy whilst they decide the next appropriate steps - at the most even if she was bouncing and on minimal treatment I'd be surprised to see anything more than a personal appearance of some sort. That is something maybe I wouldn't rule out as she has been very supportive of the related charities and she may well wish to support awareness campaigns targeted at younger women (where younger = under 55) as well as take the chance to thank fans.

It's a (strong) rumour I heard. I can take or leave them myself.

Shocked to see Elvis so far down the list.

Hayseed Dixie are SO worth seeing - they are hysterical. They do a bluegrass covers of rock anthems - with fiddle and all that!

Also would recommend James Blunt.

.....well, that's if you like my taste in music ;-)
