Start of the second week and I've had enough of the election already. The Today programme lasted about two seconds after it came on this morning. From now on the radio stays on 3. Where they still consider two minutes of news somewhere round about the hour is quite enough.

Frankly (1) I don't really want any of them running the country; (2) barring some epic event I know where my vote is going; and (3) since Dobson has one of the most solid Labour majorities in the country it won't make a blind bit of difference.

My money's on a 60 seat labour majority, much of which will want (in the foolish hope it'll actually make any difference) Brown rather than Blair sooner rather than later). I wonder if it would be different if Ken Clarke was running the Conservative party. Possibly, but given the "Daily Mailier than thou" tone of the campaign probably not.

You won't stoop to Radio 2 then?

As do I. Bearing in mind that I spent 5 days out of those 2 weeks in another country, I think this onset of election ennui marks a new personal record.

I'm not sure, but I've discovered but being patronised doesn't end as soon as I expected. Thankfully I still behave like a 17-year-old, so it's well deserved.

Not bored with the election so much, but getting bored with people posting the same opinions over and over and over again in their Livejournals. it's beginning to clutter my friends list with repetitive ness..

One opinion, one person, one post!

Oh my God, you're Kingsley Amis.

Not that this is a bad thing, it's just that I hadn't realised before.

Have just been re-reading his memoirs, that's why he's on my mind. Despite everything I think he's wonderful. Everything being his awful political views (which I am not attributing to you). But he did say stuff about the important of education for its own sake which I agreed with.
