I'm not going to comment on the morality of the decision to go to war, here or elsewhere, any more. We deal with where we are, not where we want to be. Nor do I think I will have anything useful or interesting to say about the progress: I know frankly buggerall about military strategy and tactics. (OK, I probably rarely have anything useful or interesting to say anyway, allow me my small illusions.) I will say most of my friends disagree with me on my views, and I respect their views, nor would I say I was massively confident in my own.

And I disassociate myself from many of those "on the same side" as me: people who are in favour of this war are so for many different reasons, some of which I find repugnant.

For now, others have more interesting things to say.
