Bah.
It's hot, and for once I'm wearing a suit in the office, having had a depressing and unsuccessful application for an injunction first thing this morning. It's a good, and indeed rather expensive suit. Wool. Dark.
Fucking hot.
I think I shall go home to work for the rest of the day. Where I shall make a point of loafing around in cut off jeans.

Date: 2004-06-07 08:23 am (UTC)Though being here is fun. I saw the Troy costumes. Even funnier than I expected. I really am curious as to how they advised the makers of Troy. Even though there are some similarities with Mycenean swords and the sword of Achiles. Creative licence goes a long way....
Hm.... what kind of cold alcoholic drink would you recommend for this weather?

Ks reaction to the archaeology similar to yours, by the way, but she was less irritated than I was by the story.

Story vs archaeology. I wonder if the level of irritation depends on your background. My classicist friends were more annoyed by the (perversion of) story, while my archaeologist friends were more annoyed by the (lack of) archaeological facts. That fourth century red-figure vase still brings a smile to our face, though :) :) :)
