Last night I went to drink again...

I am not having a good day.

I went to a private view (yes, I'm a pseud, get over it) of a photography exhibition. The photographs themselves were reasonable, but not that good, and the room was crowded and full of arty types. Artists, I now believe, should not be allowed to talk. Or drink.

The wine, however, was rather good, and even though I didn't actually stay out that long (had to be home in time for ER you know, yes even when I'm offered the chance of having a life I turn it down) I seem to remember funnelling it down. Result: missed a large chunk of ER anyway, watched what remained in rather confused state, passed out on sofa, woke up an hour later and only fell over once while going to bed.

The Real Killer, though, for I didn't actually have a hangover as such when I surfaced this morning, was that I had *No Fucking Coffee* in the flat.

None.

At All.

I hate my life and everybody in it.

That's inhuman, that is. You need to have emergency stashes of such things behind the radiator or something -- just in case.

And I hate that passing out on the sofa thing. There is no worse feeling in the world than waking too soon after you pass out.

Artists should be allowed to talk or drink, but possibly not both at the same time.

Or talk about art while drinking, especially.

Good job with the wine, though, usually its the crappest plonk they can find...

Yes, but that's too late. By the time I got into town the world was already a black and evil place. Chambers has a constant supply of extremely strong coffee, but it just didn't do the trick.

Yes, I take your point. It's like emptying out the last bit of your box of cereal, pouring milk into it and then realising the milk is sour. From that moment on, the day is a complete and total write-off.
