Feb. 2nd, 2004 02:25 pmI feel like death. I couldn't sleep for ages last night, then when I woke up assuming I had just beaten my alarm clock I looked at the bugger, after blearily rolling myself a cigarette, and discovered it was 4.15. Then I couldn't go back to sleep again...
I've been collecting curious public transport announcements, which shows how bored I am. My favourite was on the train to Liverpool: "The next station will be." Which is certainly an interesting philosophical proposition but somewhat less than helpful. Still, at least they didn't say "station stop", a form that seems to be obligatory on SWT and leaves me utterly bemused. "Passengers are kindly requested" to do this that or the other simply irritates me: I'll be the judge of whether your request is kind or not.
Ah well. I've just uploaded a fair number of posts on a variety of things: I backdated them so you will have to go to my journal page to read them, they won't appear on friends' pages. This is deliberate and done for precisely that reason.
(I'm glad to hear that the "friends" concept is being taken to pieces this month by the way, for those who aren't aware, my understanding is that in particular they want to make a distinction between "things you read", "people you trust enough to read locked unfiltered posts" and "people you are actually happy to call "friend".)
Apropos of something completely different, is anyone else using Mozilla 1.6 finding it noticeably less stable than previous versions (at least on Windows)?
