Extremely disappointed in this. Tried oh so hard to be Eco (indeed, at one point he was suspected of being the person behind the pseudonym) but it just isn't. The authors are nowhere near as clever as they think they are, and all their devices left me thinking "well, and so what?" Not, in my view, the "novel of ideas" it describes itself as, just a dull thriller with uniformly unattractive characters set in the generation of the European Reformation. Boo.
