I was going to post some Profound Thoughts about some bollocks or other, but I am (a) rather busy preparing for a summary judgment application and (b) feeling like shite. Again. I can always tell when I'm coming down with something foul: cigarettes start to taste vile.

Aanyway, on a complete tangent, my minor irritation of the day has been people who persist in using "male" and "female" as nouns. The police are the usual offenders "a young male was seen".. a male what? Polecat?

Someone will now point out that I am completely and conclusively wrong on this, but I don't care.

In other news I seem to have run out of port and have moved onto the half bottle of madeira that was lurking behind the sofa. Next thing you know it'll be Dubonnet.
Actually, whisky is probably better for medicinal purposes, but I don't have any cooking whisky.

Bedsitcom. What a shite idea, no?

Actually the use of "male" and "female" (particularly the latter) as nouns always reminds me of really really bad science fiction/fantasy stories. Which is the main reason it sets my teeth on edge.

Ha!! We caught a bit of Bedsitcom last night and were utterly FLABBERGASTED. One of the blokes speaks in a Ken Korda voice, so we had to watch it just in case he started making a mooooovie.
