liadnanI am having a brief Reggie Perrin moment. I fancy just walking out the door and going to Cairo to sell carpets in the Old Bazaar there, if only because there's a song about it.
Actually Istanbul would be more to my liking... (replace song with "Istanbul not Constantinopole... why did Constantinopole get the Works/That's Nobody's Business But The Turks..." well given the answer is "as part of the de-Hellenisation of the region post 1922" some might think the Greeks have a view but I digress...)
Sorry. Ignore me: this happens from time to time. To save me the tremendous effort of googling, what was the name of the UK MP who faked his own death?
