Desultory Thoughts
Oct. 24th, 2003 05:00 pmShe's gone then.
I feel vaguely sad. Grossly over-priced, vaguely pointless, and an economic failure Concorde may have been, but she was beautiful and, even at the age of 30, futuristic. The future seems to have receded just that little bit further.
Oh, and 7 percent of respondents say they actually not only clicked through a link on a spam email, but actually ordered something.
Fuckwits.
Incidentally, call me naive, but I vaguely expect spam to come from fly-by-night operators, not from The Times. And when I do get it from such an institution, giving the usual claims that I opted in somewhere, which is vanishingly unlikely, I do have some hope that a request to be taken off the list sent in the prescribed form will have some success in preventing any more.
I feel all disillusioned.
Oddly enough, I seem to receive very little spam really, less than one a week (hastily touching wood while spinning round seven times widdershins and humming...)
I may well go to Oxford tomorrow I think
I seem to be breaking my self-imposed limit of no more than one post a day if that far too often and too drastically at present, hence the cheat of re-editing two posts together....
