Jul. 29th, 2003 06:10 pmI thought I could complete this job in a morning, instead it's taken me all day. I now suspect the job I thought I could do this afternoon will take all of tomorrow. Which it can't, quite, because at some point I have to put on my little wig and big gown and fly down to the winding up court to oppose an application there. Ho hum.
My main email accounts appear to be shot to pieces. Again. I'm unsure whether the fault lies with Orange, which wouldn't surprise me in the least, or with whatever commercial entity it is that looks after theculture.org for my friend Simon, but I suspect it's the former. It usually is.
Oh, and my printer is chewing up the work I've been slaving over all day, and wasting the ink it seems to burn through implausibly fast. Can nothing work properly?
Bah, humbug.
Reading Stravaganza, a children's book that I've given to a variety of people who appreciate such things but have never done more than flip through myself. It seems quite good, so far.
The cute girl in Coffee Republic smiled at me at lunchtime. Sadly I think that's the most interesting and positive thing that's happened to me all day. And now it's raining again....
