To add a note of caution, I would point out that much the same things were said in Washington in December 2000; 'checks and balances', 'he's making a bipartisan start' and 'he got elected, how badly can he screw things up?'

I will grant that BoJo is a fair bit smarter than the Shrub, but I'm still not exactly thrilled about the result.
