So Robert Altman is dead. Glad the Academy finally got off its collective arse and gave him an Oscar, albeit an honorary one, this year. Deserved for MASH alone.

Yup. Shortcuts is one of my favourite movies, and it's always sad to see an individual vision go. But as Faulkner said about his books, and Altman would say about his movies, they're still up there on the (DVD)shelves.

mash, which, if you watched the itv1 news appeared to be the only thing he did. We had a brief flash of the movie pics for the player and short cuts, but good god, priorities...

Well, Mash is probably the most popular thing he did. Though I suspect most people think of the series in reality.
My own favourite would be The Player.
