There are secure locations in Iraq?

Yes. They're about 200 feet under ground and surrounded with concrete, but they're definitely secure.

Well, if you want a practice run, my dad can get some hand grenade samples and I can lob them at you the next time you cycle through Holborn. If you give me enough warning, I could probably get some gun crews together to burst out of a white van and drag you away as well.

Oh come on, read the spec again - if you've got law "O" Level, I reckon you're in.

I think I know about 150 people who ARE perfectly qualified for the position, though. And some of them I'd actively encourage. ;)

You know, whoever wrote that must have had a very successful former career as an estate agent.

It's a brilliantly written advert, strongly suggesting they are really desperate... Is there a difference between 'qualified' and 'experienced' - which they don't specify?

But I bet they really mean it about the pay,

Undoubtedly. That's because they figure that on the balance of probabilities, they'll only have to fork out the salary for 6 months (plus the inevitable medical contributions). Then they go through the process again.

"so long as you've done the exams we might take you"

It did rather read that way to me.

A hat, a bullwhip, and a journal were all it took to get a mere professor out of any jam, including a brush with a bloodthirsty, cannibalistic, blood cult, so if I sent you a hat, you should be okay, right? ;o)

I suppose "suicidal" can be confused with "adventurous".

Seconded.
There are no safe places in Iraq. You have to get to them by chopper, and they are a favourite pot shot target.

I figured you already owned the journal and the bullwhip. Go forth, Indiana Jones. :oP
